Review by hotel critic
During my recent business trip to the Royal Daylesford Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by both the charm of the hotel and its exceptional guest experience. The tranquil location in the heart of Daylesford made it easy to explore the town's intriguing Victorian architecture and nearby natural wonders. I particularly loved the spacious balcony access from our room, which was perfect for enjoying a glass of local wine while overlooking the lush oak trees on Albert Street. The thoughtful design of the rooms was a nod to sustainability, featuring premium bedding and a beautifully renovated ensuite bathroom complete with twin showers-a luxurious touch I appreciated after a long day. A highlight was definitely the breakfast boxes; they were simple yet tantalizing and made for a delightful start to the day. Despite being there for business, I couldn't resist the allure of Daylesford's Sunday market. Browsing through fresh local produce and artisanal goods allowed me to connect with the community and indulge my love for local culture. The staff at the hotel were notably friendly and attentive, making our check-in seamless. In summary, the Royal Daylesford Hotel balances modern conveniences with a rustic charm, making it an ideal retreat for anyone looking to blend work with relaxation, especially in such a beautiful setting. I'll certainly return, hopefully accompanied by fellow travel enthusiasts to explore more of what this lovely town has to offer!
